shared library references in websphere no ok button

This issue primarily occurs if the “Minimize application files copied to the server” option has been selected in the server overview options of the WebSphere v6.x, 7.x, 8.x integrated within Rational Application Developer.

The shared library reference is an application level setting. The WebSphere Test Environment administrative console does not support editing application level resources when Run server with resources within the workspace when Minimize application files copied to the server publishing settings are used. This is a known limitation.

Resolving the problem:

A suggested method to resolve this issue, setup the Shared Libraries information as follows:

1. Clear the Minimize application files copied to the server on the server overview in the Publishing settings for WebSphere Application Server options
2. Uninstall and reinstall the application for the changes to take place.
The WebSphere administrative console Shared Libraries options will then include the OK button to save and confirm those references created.

NB: Alternatively the shared libraries information can be configured in the enhanced EAR editor and the deployment page of the EAR editor.
