Configure FTP Server in linux

1. Create a new user and set it’s password by running the following commands:

useradd ftpupload

passwd ftpupload

Note: ftp published directory would be the user home directory. So change the user home directory as appropriate.

3. Edit the file /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf and  add the following line at the end of file:


3. Add the user ftpupload in the file /etc/vsftpd/user_list

4. Optionally you may comment the line anonymous_enable=YES in the vsftpd.conf to deny access for anonymous users.
